Our System

Sentient Robotics — Our System

One autonomy stack. Five mediums.

We design and build autonomous systems that operate wherever the mission goes — in orbit, through the air, across the land, on the water, and beneath it. One engineering philosophy and one autonomy core, adapted to every domain a machine can move through. Conceived, prototyped and fabricated in Abuja, engineered for the field.

The orbital domain

Earliest stage · R&D · partner & investor track

Space is the frontier of our roadmap, and the medium we are most openly building toward with partners. Our intent is to extend the same autonomy core that flies our aircraft into small-satellite and orbital platforms — autonomous attitude control, on-board decision-making, and Earth-observation payloads that feed directly into the air, land and surface systems below. A satellite that tasks a drone, that tasks a ground vehicle, is the kind of cross-domain loop we are designing the architecture to support from day one.

Platform direction

  • CubeSat / small-sat — modular bus, COTS-forward
  • On-board autonomy — edge inference in orbit
  • Earth-observation payloads — optical / multispectral
  • Ground-segment integration — links to air & land assets

Where it leads

  • Persistent wide-area sensing
  • Resource & infrastructure monitoring
  • Disaster mapping & response tasking
  • Sovereign-capability development
Status — early stage

This programme is at concept and early-research stage. We are actively seeking technical partners, mission collaborators and investors to build it with us.

Unmanned aircraft

Operational · our founding domain

Aerial systems are where Sentient Robotics began, and they remain our deepest capability. We develop fixed-wing, flying-wing and multirotor aircraft across a wide range of sizes — from compact training and inspection platforms to long-endurance survey and surveillance airframes. Airframes are designed in-house and built from composites with our own fabrication, additive manufacturing and CNC processes, then flown on proven open flight stacks tuned for the mission. The result is aircraft that are repairable in the field and configurable for whatever sensor the task demands.

Airframe classes

  • Fixed-wing — endurance, range, mapping
  • Flying-wing — efficient cruise, clean payload bay
  • Multirotor — VTOL, precision hover, inspection
  • VTOL hybrids — runway-free endurance

Applications

  • Defence — ISR, reconnaissance, situational awareness
  • Commercial — survey, mapping, agriculture, inspection
  • Education — STEM & pilot-training platforms

Ground vehicles

In development · field-focused

Our unmanned ground vehicles are built for the jobs that are too dangerous, too remote or too repetitive for people to do safely. Rugged drivetrains, hybrid power and a teleoperation-to-autonomy spectrum let a single platform scale from remote control to supervised autonomy as the mission allows. We pay particular attention to the missions that matter most in our region — keeping an operator out of harm's way while the machine goes forward into it.

Mission profiles

  • Landmine & UXO detection — sensor-carrying clearance support
  • Search & rescue — access to hazardous terrain
  • Medical evacuation — casualty extraction & resupply
  • Logistics & load-carry — supply over rough ground

Engineering

  • Tracked & skid-steer drivetrains
  • Series-hybrid power for endurance
  • Modular sensor & payload decks
  • Teleoperation with autonomy upgrade path

Autonomous surface vessels

In development · maritime & inland waters

On the water, our autonomous boats carry the same autonomy core out onto rivers, lakes, ports and coastal waters. Hulls are designed and built in composite and foam-core construction — including modular, sectional designs that break down for transport and reassemble on site. Single vessels operate alone or as a coordinated fleet under unified mission management, holding station, running survey lines or patrolling a boundary without a crew aboard.

Vessel types

  • Catamaran & mono-hull USVs
  • Modular / sectional hulls — transportable
  • Survey & sensor platforms
  • Coordinated multi-vessel fleets

Applications

  • Hydrographic & bathymetric survey
  • Environmental & water-quality monitoring
  • Port, harbour & maritime security
  • Patrol & persistent surveillance
SUBSEA · DEPTH −300 M
V — UNDERWATER

Submersible rovers

In development · the deepest medium

Beneath the waterline is the hardest domain to operate in and, for our region, one of the most valuable. Our underwater programme develops submersible rovers — tethered ROVs and autonomous underwater vehicles — for inspection and survey work where divers cannot easily or safely go. Pressure-tolerant housings, thruster-based manoeuvring and acoustic and optical sensing extend our autonomy stack into the third dimension, below the surface our boats patrol above.

Vehicle direction

  • Tethered ROVs — power & live link to surface
  • Autonomous AUVs — pre-planned survey runs
  • Pressure-rated housings & thrusters
  • Acoustic & optical sensing payloads

Applications

  • Subsea pipeline & infrastructure inspection
  • Hull & structure survey
  • Underwater search & recovery
  • Environmental & seabed mapping
Why one company, five mediums

The same core, wherever the mission goes

Air, land, surface, subsea and orbit look like five different problems. Underneath, they are the same one: sense the environment, decide, act, and report — reliably, far from the operator. By building a shared autonomy core and reusing it across every medium, each programme strengthens the others, and a system from one domain can task or hand off to another.

01

Autonomy core

A shared perception, navigation and decision stack that ports across air, land, water and subsea platforms.

02

In-house fabrication

Composites, foam-core construction, CNC machining and additive manufacturing — designed and built under one roof.

03

Modular payloads

Sensors and mission kit mount through common interfaces, so one platform serves many roles.

04

Cross-domain ops

Unified mission management lets assets across mediums coordinate, hand off and report as one system.
